Since 1992, the World’s most talented Anterior Segment Surgeons have met bi-annually in different locations throughout the Aegean Islands in Greece to share their knowledge and experience. Thirty-one years after the first Aegean Cornea, we continue our efforts to improve our meetings at the expert level. The meeting this year has been named Aegean Cornea and Cataract, and as the title now states we have expanded our interest to all the innovations of anterior segment surgery, cornea, refractive, and cataract. The major strength of our meeting remains the focus on the discussion between the speakers and the audience. The atmosphere allows all participants and the industry to freely interact and exchange ideas and knowledge.
The location, next to the temple of Poseidon in cape Sounion, is a unique historical and inspiring place to study the past and create a vision for the future. This is the place where the "Aegean Sea" has been named after "Äegeas" the king of Athens, according to a myth that connects the history of Ancient Athens with Minoan Crete and the legendary Minotaur.

The new “Aegean Cornea Refractive and Cataract meeting” is coming to Athens the birthplace of Philosophy and Science. We are all waiting for you!

Over 150 experts Ophthalmologists and PhDs will discuss the following subjects (and many others) at this upcoming meeting:

  • Premium intraocular lenses: Optical issues, anatomical issues (ESCRS Symposium)
  • Presbyopia surgery: phacik IOL, inlays, onlays, lasers
  • From Lasik to Smile
