Graduated from Cairo University.He completed a 3-year Fellowship in Cornea & External Eye Disease trained by J. Frucht-Pery at the Hadassah University Hospital of Jerusalem. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Ophthalmology at the University of Crete, and in charge of the Cornea & Transplantation unit of the Heraklion University Hospital. Author and co-author of various articles. Fluent in Greek, English, Spanish, Hebrew and Arabic.
